It's February and life is crazy and busy. I was cast as Will in the WaHi spring musical Big Fish and rehearsals for that have been taking up a lot of my time. This weekend I accompanied a clarinet duet and a solo cellist (Hannah Cabasco and Keeli Mckern, Eunice Ra) that both will move on to the state level. Next weekend I will be driving down with fellow choir and band students to the All-Northwest music festival. Friday night I performed at the annual Conspiracy of Hope talent show at WaHi and I performed Vapor. I will be performing it again tomorrow night (February 13) in the Wahi auditorium at 6:00 pm. Tickets are 5$ at the door if you want to come watch.
I've been working hard on new music through my schedule. Writing is an emotional release for me and I have some really exciting new material that I'm impatient to share. What I've written so far has been very different lyrically from Identity. The lyrics, while primarily still focused on love, are less about internal struggles, less about the aftermath of love, and more about the beginning stages of falling for another person. I'm very excited.
Identity has been doing well and I got my first sales results about a week ago. The CDs are still not available on Amazon but I am still selling signed copies myself for 15$.
